Murray to face Federer in Dubai Open

3rd March, 2008

British number one Andy Murray says he is looking forward to facing the World number one today in the first round of the Dubai Open.

Murray has been unfortunate to get handed the hardest possible draw because he has gone into the tournament unseeded. With eight of the top 10 world players in contention at the tournament, he was unfortunate to miss out. However he is looking upon the challenge as a good thing, saying: "It's a tough draw but I'm really excited to get the chance to play Federer. You've got to try to use the opportunity to play your best tennis so you can actually see how good you are."

Federer has not played since losing to Djokovic in the Australian Open semi-final six weeks ago. The last time Murray and Federer met, Murray won, but did admit: “He didn't play his best match then. But I have a good game and can cause problems. It's important to do well.”

VC Bet are giving the best odds on Federer at a low 2/7, and there will be many British punters getting behind Murray at prices around 4/1 with Totesport.
