Man Utd v Roma preview, odds and betting.

9th April, 2008

Man Utd face arguably the easiest of the second-legs of the quarter finals, starting with a 2-0 advantage when they face Roma at home this evening. They will however, be without Vidic and possibly Ferdinand – both through injury.

United showed they can be susceptible at the back without their key defensive pairing, letting two goals in against Middlesbrough at the weekend. Roma will take heart from this, and as they know they have to get at least two goals in the game the game will be very open with lots of attacking football.

Ferguson has already spoken about how he has told his side to look for the first goal to give themselves more of a cushion, but the nature of the game means a scoreline is hard to predict. A Manchester United win is 8/13 with Paddy Power, which seems decent value.

Over 2.5 goals at evens with is very tempting with Skybet, and there is definite value in backing Roma to get the first goal at best odds of 12/5 with Totesport.
