Man City v Everton Betting preview
22nd February, 2008
Following the mass of great football on over the weekend Monday evening will see Manchester City take on Everton.
Everton will go to the city of Machester Stadium with high hopes as their recent form has placed them in the top four of the Premiership table. Man City are only 3 points behind Everton so a win would put them on a level playnig field with Everton remaining above on goal difference (unless City win by 13 goals!).
This is an important game for the sides as the teams above them are all playing over the weekend and are all bookie's favourites to gain three points in their games. So a win for either team will still hold them in contention for the top spots. Also, its all very close around the area of the all important fourth place spot. Only 3 points separates the four teams from fourth to seventh so it's all to play for. If City win, and Villa and Liverpool win their weekend's games, then all four teams will be on 47 points.
With Man City at home, today's bookie odds have priced them as favourites for this match, with, as of today, VC Bet offering 7/5 on a win, while Everton have been priced at 1/1 (Better).
BGbet are offering to refund all losing first goalscorer bets on Man City v Everton if Andrew Johnson scores at anytime in this match.*
