Malaysian Grand Prix Preview, Betting and Odds
18th March, 2008
The Malaysian Grand Prix: 21-23 March 2008.
The Malaysian Grand Prix is viewed by many as the most gruelling race of the year with such hot conditions that take their toll on the cars. With just seven cars completing last weekend’s relatively easy race, it should make for an eventful weekend.
McLaren can expect a more challenging weekend after being let off my some Ferrari mistakes and technical problems that left them unable to challenge for the top spots. It was clear that the Ferrari’s did have pace that was not harnessed for the duration of the race, and this will worry the McLaren team. They will be fairly confident going into the race as last year saw them complete a McLaren one-two in Malaysia and Hamilton’s cool performance in Melbourne will only boost the positivity in the camp.
Prior to the first race, Ferrari had been favourites to take the contractors’ championship, but the first race turned the odds on their head and now McLaren lead the way at 4/5 with VC Bet. For the fans of betting exchanges, it may be worth backing Ferrari at this stage, with a view to lay after the race, after which the odds will no doubt shorten, locking in some profit.
