MLB: Boston Red Sox win the 2007 World Series
29th October, 2007
The Boston Red Sox have taken a second World Series win in four years, beating the Colorado Rockies 4-0 after a win on Sunday. A tight 4-3 victory in Denver sealed a poor series for the Rockies, who never mounted a serious challenge. The Sox can no celebrate a second World Series title in four years after going nearly 90 years without a single one.
MVP of the World Series, third baseman Mike Lowell, now finds himself a free agent after Boston not (yet) extending his deal at Fenway Park, with the Sox reported to be interested in Alex Rodriguez, who has just left the New York Yankees.
The Red Sox have already been picked as favourites to take the 2008 World Series at 11/2, with the Yankees second favourites at 6/1. Our odds comparison service can keep you up-to-date with all the latest odds changes.
