Liverpool vs. Tottenham betting odds
20th January, 2010
As rumours continue to escalate about Rafael Benitez future with Liverpool, Benitez is doing what he can to justify his time at the club.
The manager explained that what he has achieved since joining the club in 2004 is incredible and that this season is unfortunate but pointed out that it is the worst season since he took over so his good work mustn’t be forgotten. There has been a lot of speculation as to whether or not the Spaniard will keep his position but there are fears that if Liverpool do not qualify for the Champions League he would be in an extremely vulnerable position.
Benitez defended himself by explaining, “The difference between the club before and now is massive in terms of money, the value of the squad and pride of the fans.”
It seems as though some critics have already made up their decision of what should happen next and are offering prices on the next manager to take over Liverpool.
Online bookies Victor Chandler have made Jose Mourinho and Kenny Dalglish the 3/1 joint favourites, followed by Guus Hiddink at 10/3. Other prices include Harry Redknap at 50/1 and Phil Thompson at 200/1.
