John and Edward Grimes set to win X-Factor
11th November, 2009
After the shock elimination of Lucie Jones after this weekend’s dose of X-Factor, it seems that bookies now fear the worst, that Jedward will win the competition!
Ladbrokes have revealed that as little as £60 has been wagered on the 18 year olds being evicted from the competition in the next live show. Ladbrokes have been openly honest about their concerns if the twins win, as they have had excessive bets wagered on them at the start of the competition to be crowned the winners, when their odds were as long as 150/1, they are now as short as 6/1 to win the show. Whilst it seems they are still not near the top of the winners list, they do continue to pull through week after week and last week was the first time that their chances were jeopardised, but Ladbrokes are still concerned as if they did pull through, they would have to pay out considerable sums of money!
A spokesmen from Ladbrokes said, “The competition gets tougher every week but the Twins somehow pull through. We are already sweating over a bumper festive payout.” He went on to say, “We thought the bubble had burst last weekend, but no one wants to back them to go. Simon may have missed his chance.”
Other bookies such as Paddy Power are offering several other markets on the terrible twosome, including a price of 5/1 that they will take over from much loved presenters Ant and Dec, signing a money grabbing contract with ITV.
It seems whether or not the Twins make it to the end of the reality TV show or not, they are promised a future full of money and stardom.
