Jockeys acquitted!
7th December, 2007
Among those facing charges were Kieron Fallon, 42 the former champion jockey. 2 other riders and 3 more people were all accused of attempting to make horses lose races between December 2002 and summer 2004.
A judge at the Old bailey ordered the jury to clear the 6 after a key witness was undermined on the stand.
Kieron Fallons ban from racing has now been lifted and the delighted champion can return to the track. " I am of course relieved, but also outraged." This trial has taken its toll on all of those involved and has tarnished reputations. Fallon has been suspended for almost eighteen months, a very long time in the carrer of a jockey.
