Inter Milan v Liverpool Champions League Preview

11th March, 2008

Liverpool tonight face Inter Milan in the daunting San Siro, where they take a 2-0 first-leg advantage. The Reds will still need to be on top form if they are to keep the mighty Italians from scoring, surely a key priority in progressing to the next round.

Should Liverpool make it through, they will be the fourth English side in the quarter-finals, following Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal. The away side will be boosted by the return of Mascherano from injury, but Finnan has been ruled out by a hamstring problem.

Liverpool can be backed at a best price of 15/4 with Paddy Power, whilst Inter will be heavily backed to win over 90 minutes at around evens with the likes of Bet 365. The draw at 5/2 may also be popular as Liverpool will look to keep it tight, but retain the threat of the on form Torres, 7/1 to be first goalscorer.
