I’m a celebrity get me out of here latest news and betting odds

16th November, 2009

The ninth series of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here kicked off last night and as the 11 celebs entered the jungle they were faced with their first bushtucker trial!

The celebs were busy settling in to camp when they were asked to pick one male and one female to swim to another island and carry out their first task. Not aware of what the task would be the camp drew straws and Sam Fox, 43 and Gino D’Acampo, 34 were the chosen ones. They were sent to another island where they were made to munch on water spiders in order to get their first meal!

With the first squeals and tantrums over, it looks as though there will be many more over the next three weeks as the Z-listers begin to wind each other up, and of course when Katie Price enters the jungle! This will be her second appearance on the ITV show where she met ex husband Peter Andre back in 2004. It is hoped that the show will stir up once the topless model enters the jungle and the public await with anticipation as to what she is going to reveal and how she is going to act this time around! More importantly, she came runner up in the 2004 series so the main question is, will she be able to go that little bit further, despite not having the support of the public!

Katie Price, known as Jordan, has reportedly been paid thousands of pounds more than the other celebs and she revealed that, “I’m a working mum and I want closure on the fairytale I had. I’ve got no agenda, I’m not going to act any differently. The reason why I am doing it is because it is an amazing experience.”

All the bookies are offering competitive odds at the start of the reality TV show and it looks as though it could be a tough competition for the celebs! The best price for the favourite of the show so far is Sporting Bet who makes Jimmy White 5/1 to be crowned King of the Jungle! Following closely behind is Stuart Manning who is priced at 8/1 with Blue Square.

Kim Woodburn looks as though she is going to struggle in the jungle and is priced at an unlikely 11/1 to win the competition with Boylesports. Katie Price is backed at 12/1 with Bet365 to win the competition this year which is the same odds as Camilla Dallerup.
