Last night’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here saw former boxing champion Joe Bugner sent packing as he failed to win his head to head challenge with ex-Hollyoaks star Stuart Manning.
The two camp mates received the lowest votes from the public which resulted in them being locked in the jungle jail. The bushtucker trial this time was not for meals but for a chance to return back to camp. The celebrity that finished the trial last would be forced to leave the jungle without a chance of saying good bye to fellow camp mates.
Both seemed determined but when the claxon sounded it looked as though it was only Stuart who was interested in winning the trial and the end result saw Stuart complete the trial before Joe had even entered!
Bugner is the sixth contestant to get the boot and explained, “I didn’t want to go – I wanted to stay until the end. I wanted Stuart to win, I’ve had a wonderful time, I knew from the word go that youth would take over here but the experience was fantastic.”
Gino D’Acampo is leading the betting priced with Blue Square at 4/7 favourite to be crowned the King of the Jungle 2009, followed by George Hamilton who is second favourite backed at 9/2. However, George Hamilton appeared to be having doubts in last night’s show after being allowed to call home. He confided in third favourite Kim Woodburn (priced at 17/2) late last night saying that he thought that one of the ‘youngsters’ deserved the title more than he did. Kim urged him to sleep on it and carefully think about his decision. The Hollywood star seems to think that the public want him out, so the pressure is now on the camp mates to convince him to sit it out and maybe then he will realise his popularity in the show.
Jimmy White seems to be in with a chance priced at 9/1 followed by Justin Ryan at 22/1. Stuart Manning and Sabrina Washington look set to be next to get the boot, that is unless the public want to continue watching their flirtatious relationship develop and build, they are both priced at 28/1.
