The deciding round for English clubs starts tomorrow, in the Heineken Cup.

Gloucester, Bath, Leicester and London Wasps all fight for their place in the quarter finals. With only five places left and 7 teams jockeying for them, this weekend of rugby is set to be fierce.

So far Harlequins, Cardiff Blues and reigning champions Munster are the only teams securely through to the quarters.

In pool 2 both Leinster and Wasps are on 16 point with Leinster ahead on points difference. Wasps fans will know that it is down to a lack of killer instinct in skipper Phil Vickery that Leinster escaped last week’s meeting with a vital losers bonus point that could me Wasps don’t make it to the quarters.

Pool 5 however is geared up for a winner takes all grudge match between Toulouse and Bath. With last week’s weak performance against Glasgow at home Bath will be hoping they can topple the French former champions. Although the team has been focused on the task ahead, media spotlight has been shown off the pitch with the drugs scandal involving international prop Matt Stevens.

Gloucester open the final pool games against Biarritz, who it must be said having been lacking in form this season. In order to qualify Gloucester will need to win by four tries to get maximum points. Betfair have the put the southwest men as favourites to walk away with the victory at 0.67/1

To ensure a spot in the quarter Leinster like Wasps will have to win their matches by four tries, and both are favourites to win against Edinburgh and Castres respectively.
