Hamilton Looks To Beat Ferrari At Monza
7th September, 2007
As the fight for the Formula 1 World Championship nears its climax, British racing sensation Lewis Hamilton has vowed to beat Ferrari on their home soil. After the recent spy allegations at McLaren, said: "I know my team, I know the people here and I think we are being unfairly treated. So we want to do our talking on the track. It would be a great feeling to beat them because of what they are putting us through". McLaren are now back in the spotlight as fresh evidence has emergered that could see them thrown out of this year's championship.
Lewis Hamilton currently leads the the Formula 1 World Championship by five points with five races left. The four-way scrap for the title with team mate Fernando Alonso, Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen sees them all separated by just 16 points. Despite everything going on around him, Hamilton concedes the latest drama is not affecting him, and that he remains unfazed. "I have been oblivious to everything that has been going on as my internet has not been working at home," said Hamilton. "I got here and found out there is stuff going on, and I thought 'shoot'. I have just been trying to get on with my job, and the rest of it doesn't affect me too much. I am just acting as if it is a normal weekend, which it is."
