Grand Prix betting odds for Sundays race in Abu Dhabi

29th October, 2009

After Jenson Button gained enough points to take the title of World Champion 2009 of Lewis Hamilton in Brazil a fortnight ago, it has left a lot of speculation as to who will be take the win in the final race in Abu Dhabi.

As Button has done all he has to, this will be a race of pure pleasure for the 29 year old as he can race with passion and no pressure. After Brawn GP lived out the excitement Button bought the team, they then quickly moved their thoughts to the final race and with Button having gone to spend alone time with his girlfriend, they have had time to ponder over what might happen in Abu Dhabi. Brawn explained, “I am fascinated to see how Abu Dhabi goes because the pressure is off and he will be uncaged. He is very quick, very talented and very determined.”

“Button has received a few knock backs this year, but like any top sportsman, he has the ability to recover from this and come back more determined and I expect to have a much stronger driver in the future.”

Sky Bet are offering confident odds of 7/4 that team mate Barrichello, who came 8th in the last race with 72 points, will pull through and be one of the first two to cross the finish line.

Bookies odds suggest that the race for second place will be between Barichello and Sebastian Vettel from Red Bull who is currently 2 points ahead of Barichello and is priced at 2/5 to come second in the drivers’ championship. Betting odds for both the drivers to win the race are slightly longer with Barrichello backed at 9/1 and Vettel carrying shorter odds of 3/1.Jenson Button is backed at 7/1 to see out the season with a bang taking first place in Sunday’s race.
