Grand National 2010 Online Betting Odds
9th April, 2010
Choosing the winner for the Grand National is a tough decision so here is a guide to the favourites and their online betting odds for the most popular race of the year.
One of the main favourites this year is Big Fella Thanks which has odds as low as 9/1. He had a storming race last year finishing sixth, being just seven years old. The experienced Ruby Walsh will be riding him this year meaning that expectations are much higher. Paul Nicholls is his trainer and is renowned for producing some of the best jumping horses; despite this after 18 years in the business he is yet to produce a winner of the Grand National.
Last year’s winner, Mon Mome, has already proved that he can do it meaning that his odds of 100/1 last year have been slashed as he remains a worthy shout for a second victory.
Another on the favourites list is The Package who is being ridden by 2004 Grand National winner, Graham Lee. However the horse is only 7 years old, a horse of that young age hasn’t won the race since the 1940’s.
Another of Paul Nicholls’ horses in the running is Tricky Trickster is also in with a shout at the national as his previous victory over four miles at Cheltenham should put him in very good stead for Aintree. However he has had a recent dip in form which has led to some doubt over his credentials. Despite this he still remains a favourite for bookies.
