Moon to rise

Moon Over Miami is due to warm up for a crack at Cheltenham's Arkle Chase in either the novice chase or the WilliamHill.co.uk Handicap Chase at Doncaster on Saturday. Charlie Mann's gelding has posted smart victories at Cheltenham and Newbury this season. His last time out success from Big Buck's, who was receiving 10lb, was a particularly meritorious effort. I hope Mann opts for the handicap chase as, even though it is the more valuable, it could be the easier of the two to win.

Henrietta Knight's Ringaroses also has two options on Saturday, the 2m3f110yds handicap hurdle at Doncaster and the 2m6f handicap hurdle at Sandown. The seven-year-old will be having his first race in over a year but has won first time out for the last two seasons and connections clearly have big hopes for him as he has been entered for the Ladbroke World Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.

Paul Nicholls' Celestial Halo looked a potential star when making a winning jumping debut at Newbury recently and the former smart Flat performer should have no trouble following up in either of the juvenile hurdles at Doncaster or Sandown.

Principe Azzurro has run three excellent races this term and, with his stable amongst the winners recently, the seven-year-old is expected to take plenty of beating in the Totesport Masters Handicap Chase at Sandown

Gary Moore's five-year-old Art Man has thrived in recent weeks and he should make a bold bid to complete a hat-trick in the 1m2f handicap at Lingfield on Saturday.

Working well

Nicky Henderson's Working Title romped away with a minor event at Fakenham last time. The 2m2f110yds novices hurdle at Fontwell on Sunday looks a more competitive affair but it will still be a surprise in the gelding loses his unbeaten tag.

Clarified, who side-stepped an interesting opportunity in Ireland last weekend is worth watching out for this Sunday in either the Grade 2 novices hurdle at Punchestown or the novices hurdle the same afternoon at Limerick. The lightly raced gelding looked a very nice prospect when winning at Punchestown last time and he is held in hugh regard by his very astute trainer.
