Extra-time own goal sees Middlesbrough through to last eight of FA Cup

Sheffield United were desperately unlucky to be knocked out of the FA Cup in such a cruel fashion, after taking the Premier League side to the second half of extra time in a replay. It took over 200 minutes of football between the two sides for the ball to cross the line, and it was the unfortunate keeper Paddy Kenny who was to blame.
After performing consistently well to keep out a number of Middlesbrough chances, it was late in the second half of extra time when a deflected Mido shot bounced over the keeper, hit the post and came back to Kenny, who’s reaction only succeeded in putting the ball in the back of the net.
Over the two games the football was rarely exciting, with neither side really producing much quality.

FA Cup odds:
Chelsea and Manchester United remain favourites, both at 11/8, whilst the other remaining Premiership teams Middlesbrough and Portsmouth are given odds of around 10/1 and 14/1 respectively. West Brom are 18/1, Cardiff are as high as 66/1. Bristol Rovers are 125/1 whilst Barnsley can be picked up for 150/1.
