England vs Scotland Six Nations Betting Odds
19th March, 2009
With only two days left until the climax of the 2009 Six Nations tournament, rugby fans will be full of excitement as Wales take on Ireland in a championship deciding game.
Although England’s much needed rejuvenation has come too late for them to win the championship, there is still the Calcutta Cup to play for. With pride also at stake, the encounter at Twickenham is sure to be a fierce one. Scotland are current holders of the cup after defeating England 15-9 last year.
Martin Jonson has named an unchanged side, and will hope the team can improve even further on last week’s performance.
After demolishing France last weekend, England head into the match as strong favourites. Scotland suffered a narrow lost to Ireland at home last weekend and will be looking to finish the competition on a high.
Most bookies are giving odds of 1/8 for England to win, including Bet 365, Ladbrokes, and Paddy Power. While it’s Scotland’s odds that vary.
England 1/8
Scotland 6/1
England 1/8
Scotland 9/2
Bet 365
England 1/8
Scotland 5/1
My tip:
England to win by 10 points, with the first try coming from Ugo Monye !
