England boss, Fabio Capello, will be aiming to get the Three Lions back to winning ways against Belarus at Wembley tonight in their final World Cup qualifier.
Capello’s team lost 1-0 against the Ukraine away from home on Saturday. England was searching for a 100% record in their Group after winning their previous eight matches. Sergiy Nazarenko's deflected shot in the first-half was enough to give Ukraine the victory. The goal happened after England was reduced to 10-men after goalkeeper Robert Green was sent off at the Dnipro Arena.
The Italian coach has announced that Peter Crouch and Gabriel Agbonlahor will start the match up- front. Regular strikers Wayne Rooney and Jermain Defoe are both out injured. Rooney picked up a calf strain in the defeat against Ukraine at the weekend.
England will also be without star midfielder Steven Gerrard with a groin strain. Goalkeeper David James missed Tuesday’s training session at Arsenal’s London Colney training ground and will face a late fitness test on a knee problem.
Fabio Capello told BBC Sport We need to play other styles, style A, B, C," said the former A.C Milan and Real Madrid boss. "I want to see some players in different positions."
"We played always more or less the same style in all the games we've played. Sometimes, during the friendly games, we've changed it. But we need to practise other styles. I want to see some players in different positions. When I decide the squad, I decide always different styles that I can play with it with the players who will be with me. Why wouldn't they have that capacity?"
To win the match England is 1/6 with Coral while Belarus is 20/1 with bet 365. The draw is 13/2 with betinternet.
