England Move Towards Euro 2008
13th September, 2007
The on-form Michael Owen helped England ease their Euro 2008 qualification scare with two first-half strikes on the way to a 3-0 win over Russia in the Group E clash. Before the match, Russia had the best goals concended record of all teams in the qualification stages, with the only goal coming in the 1-1 draw with Israel.
