Drogba: I want to leave
7th January, 2008
Didier Drogba has again made it publicly known that he wants to leave Chelsea at the end of the season. The star striker at Stamford Bridge first revealed his desire to leave the Bridge in October after the sacking of Jose Mourinho.
Drogba told Eurosport: "It comes from me, I said what I am thinking, that I wanted to leave,"
"The problem is that I say that I want to leave since two or three years.”
"Mourinho's departure didn't help, to the contrary it made my desire to leave even bigger.”
The Ivory Coast front man has been linked with a possible reunion with Mourinho at Milan, but he says he is only concentrating on winning the upcoming African Cup of Nations: "I am not going to speak about my next club and my major objective is the ACN and winning all the interests we have to win when I'll return for Chelsea."
Drogba played 30 minutes of the FA Cup clash with QPR, in which they won 1-0. Bookie Alerts’ odds comparison service is giving odds from 4.6 to 3.3 for Chelsea to win the FA Cup this season.
We will bring you news of the 4th round draw later today.
