David Beckham looks set to head to South Africa, with or without the beard
21st October, 2009
David Beckham has become one of the world’s biggest style icons and having married one of the most stylish women around, admiration for their fashion has gone from strength to strength. With a wife who has just launched a high end fashion range, you would think that she would be sure to keep her husband in check, but after his last appearance it seems that he has let himself go a little.
Becks appeared on the pitch with a new bushy beard and it has caused a lot of commotion, both good and bad from fans all over the world. No one is sure if his new look was a one hit shocker or if it is here to stay, but William Hill are able to offer you a price of 11/4 that the Galaxy player will be clean shaven for England’s first match in the world cup and much shorter odds of 1/4 that the England player will be sporting some sort of facial hair.
With Fabio Capello’s decision to confirm the final line up for the World Cup Squad, and with Beckham’s man of the match performance against Belarus, it is looking hopeful for the player who can be backed at 1/2 with Paddy Power to secure himself a ticket to South Africa.
