Dancing on Ice, any change in the odds?
16th February, 2009
Despite various tumbles and injuries in training, the celebrities all gave good performances on Sunday. Let's take a look at the latest odds to see who is still in the running to win:
It comes as no surprise that Ray is still the favourite to win- after all, he did score a couple of 6.0s in last night's show! Ray Quinn to win: 2/5 (bluesquare)
Despite not giving her best performance last night, the judges think Zoe Salmon has the potential to do well and so do the bookies: 8/1 (betfred)
Jessica Taylor seems comfortable on the ice and could very well be in the final: 10/1 (betfred)
Donal McIntyre improves week on week: 33/1 (betfred)
Roxanne Pallett is fun to watch but is definitely one of the weaker celebrities: 33/1 (betfred)
Coleen Nolan is one of the funnier celebrities- she doesn't take herself too seriously, has fun and the public seem to love her: 40/1 (betfred)
Melinda Messenger is certainly not the worst skater in the competition but she seems to lack public support: 50/1 (paddypower)
Our thoughts:
Ray Quinn is almost certain to win- he is the best skater that has ever been on the show and consistently gets near perfect scores. We think it unlikely that anyone can really threaten him a this stage.
We think Jessica Taylor has more to give- we think that she is the second strongest competitor and should really be second favourite to win.
Melinda Messenger has been in three skate offs now- she's becoming the Lisa Snowdon of Strictly Come Dancing- she relies on the judges saving her rather than the voting public. We feel that she will be in the skate off again next week- while Coleen and Roxanne may not be great skaters they seem to be popular with viewers.
