Comply or Die Wins Grand National 2008

7th April, 2008

Saturday saw Comply or Die win the annual Grand National race at Aintree, the biggest single horse race in the calendar year. The joint-favourite at the start of the race came home to take victory by four lengths from King Johns Castle, with Snowy Morning in third place and Slim Pickings fourth.

Had you taken our horse racing tips for the Grand National, you would have won with three horses in the top four! To £10 stakes you would have been over £100 in profit, all thanks to our free tips. Our tipster picked out Comply or Die, Slim Pickings and Snowy Morning as ones to have an each-way punt on.

Timmy Murphy rode the David Pipe-trained nine-year-old for his first Grand National win after 11 previous attempts, whilst Tony McCoy’s wait for a winner goes on after his horse fell on the second circuit. Only McKelvey had to be put down, after colliding with a barrier and proving unable to regain his feet.

Betting on the Grand National 2009 is already underway, with this year’s joint favourites Comply or Die and Cloudy Lane at 20/1 and 33/1 respectively. Other popular horses at this stage include Butler’s Cabin at 20/1, second placed King Johns Castle as low as 16/1, and Snowy Morning at around 20/1. Boylesports and Bet 365 are currently running great Grand National 2009 odds and betting markets.
