Racing pundits will be in full debate today after, an appeal court backed motorsports governing body FIA decision, and ruled in favour of Brawn GP’s racing car.
Controversy was sparked in Formula One racing earlier this year, when complaints were made over the legality of certain cars.
At the heart of the debate was the diffuser on Brawn GP’s car. According to complaints, it was not within the car’s technical regulations and so gave them an unfair advantage.
However five International Court of Appeal judges ruled today that the designs "comply with the applicable regulations".
The decision means Brawn GP’s driver Jenson Button will stay top of the leader board and goes into this weekend Chinese Grand Prix as the favourite.
