Cheltenham Festival Betting
13th February, 2008
The Cheltenham Festival is now fast-approaching. Each year in mid March four days of horse racing takes place with opportunities to bet on not only horses and jockeys but on other, more abnormal things, such as how many pints of Guinness will be consumed throughout the festival.
For the duration of the festival many online bookmakers will be offering Free Bet offers and each will be looking to make the most of the huge occasion. The festival aims to attract an estimated sum of around 200,000 people. These people all meet in and around Bristol and all head for Prestbury Park where the betting commences.
Over the course of the four days, hundreds of thousands of onlookers bet on the four main races; the Champion Hurdle, the Champion Chase, the Ladbrokes World Hurdle and the Cheltenham Gold Cup. As well as these main events there are many more races and competitions taking place, all of which are heavily bet upon.
