The holders face a tough test against a Liverpool side that normally save their best performances for the cup. Both teams go into the game on the back of a 1-0 defeats, Chelsea to the league leaders and Liverpool to the league champions. Chelsea were lucky to get a draw against Liverpool at Anfield after a dubious penalty but still go into the game as favourites. Despite the injury to John Terry on Sunday, Chelsea will be boosted by the return of Ricardo Carvalho and Michael Ballack.
The Blues go into the game as favourites at about 11/10, best odds with Bet 365. With the same bookie Liverpool are a great value 13/5. The draw is floating around the 2/1 mark.
This should be a tight game which might be won by one moment of brilliance. Both teams pride themselves on strong defences and so VC Bet's 7/4 under 1.5 goals seems excellent value.
