With heavy investment from Bernie Eccelstone, the Mittal family and Flavio Briatore QPR are favourites to win the league. They have signed striker Marcus Bent from Charlton and Argentine, Emmanuel Jorge Ledesema on loan with the option of a £2.37 million Permanent move at the end of the season - 6/1 with Bet 365

Birmingham City

City will surely be competing at the top end of the table next season and will still have a quality squad inspite of their relegation. Alex McLesih's Blues will be difficult to beat next season and have lots of experience playing in this league. - Betfred

Reading

Reading are also favourites to win the league and with Steve Coppell in charge they will be a difficult team to beat. They play good football under Coppel and should have enough quality in their aquad to mount a serious title challenge -Blue Square

Other Teams

Any side could win the league this year and other sides who will most likely be challenging at the top include, Crystal Palace, Sheffield United, Wolves and Derby. Outsiders are understandably the new promoted sides such as Doncaster rovers, Blackpool and Nottingham Forest.

Our tip:

Bristol City at 37/1 with Betfair - City were unlucky to lose in the playoff final and throughout last season showed they could compete with the best. Manager, Gary Johnson will want to improve on last years disappointing ending and his side have every chance of beating the bigger clubs.
