Carling Cup Manchester United vs Tottenham

27th February, 2009

This weekend is a big weekend for sport. The Six nations kicks off tonight, England opens the second day of the 4th test in Barbados, and Manchester United look to start the collection of an unpresedented 5 trophies in one season.

This Sunday, Manchester United face Tottenham Hotspurs at Wembley in the Carling Cup. The Carling Cup is one of the Three Domestic Titles that bookies favour Manchester United to win.

Given Manchester United’s current form it seems unlikely that Tottenham Hotspurs will pose any threat to the club. Manchester United is already 7 points clear in the Barclays Premiership , and despite not winning its Champions League match, the club dominated throughout the game.

A part from Manchester United’s great form, some have also pointed out that Harry Redknapp’s men will be drained after playing 4 games in 10 days- something which United are likely to exploit.

Most bookies agree that Manchester United will win the match:

Bet 365

Manchester United 2/5

Tottenham 2/1

Ladbrokes

Manchester United 4/11

Tottenham 2/1

Paddy Power

Manchester United 3/10

Tottenham 9/4

Kick off is this Sunday at 3.00pm
