The Carling Cup may not be the most sort after Cup in the country, however, to many lower league teams and squad players, it is the most important non league competition of the season. The Carling Cup allows younger players to experience football at the highest level whilst playing with and against some best professional's in the game. For those young hopefuls it is a chance to impress the manager, fans and coaching team, with the hope of being selected for the first team in league games.
