Bottom of the Guinness Premiership

18th February, 2009

At the start of the season there was a lot of speculation as to who would end up bottom of the Guinness Premiership this year, and ultimately get relegated to the National League.

Favorites for relegation were Newcastle, Bristol, Worcester and Northampton, all of whom were tipped to struggle.

To the surprise of many, London Wasps currently lie in bottom half of the table, after a poor season by their high standards.

However, even at this stage in the season it seems almost certain Bristol will be relegated.

The side has been plagued by injury and as a result have struggled to find form, throughout the season. Bristol have found it hard to compete with the other clubs in the league, being out played and out powered on numerous occasions.

Bet365 price Bristol at 1/28 clear favorites to be relegated at the end of the season, so if you’re willing to place a big wage then this market may be of interest.

While Blue Square, Paddy Power, and Skybet all feel the chances are even more certain, giving odds of 1/33, 1/40, 1/50 respectively.

So our tip is bet big on Bristol going down. For other Guinness Premiership rugby betting markets, visit our online odds comparison page.
