Betting odds put Will Smith as favourite to be the next James Bond
8th September, 2009
Irish bookmakers Paddy Power are still taking bets on who will be the chosen one to replace Daniel Craig as the next James Bond and have offered betting odds on 32 celebs that they think are likely to be in the picking.
There is a selection of names that have been suggested, however some seem a little farfetched. Those that are outsiders are the likes of Eric Bana at 40/1 or Ewan McGregor at 25/1. There are other some names that are slightly shorter odds such as Hugh Jackman at 12/1 and Gerard Butler at 16/1.
Will Smith currently stands as the favourite at 4/1 to replace Daniel Craig and he would be the first black James Bond in the history of the series. However Will Smith is accompanied by a lot of other black actors including P Diddy at 100/1 and Jamie Foxx at 16/1.
Following Will Smith are Christian Bale and Clive Owen who are both backed at 8/1 and Orlando Bloom at 10/1. It seems that after Daniel Craig was chosen over Clive Owen last screening, Christain Bale stands a better chance of being picked this time round.
