Betting odds on who Mancini will sell first
22nd December, 2009
After the news of Mark Hughes being sacked was revealed at the weekend, Roberto Mancini is the man to take over and fans and footballers alike fear the changes that he will implement!
It seems that bookies are confident that the Italian manager cannot wait for the January transfer window where he will be able to change around the team to help in his quest to take Manchester City to the top.
There is some doubt over how long the new manager will remain at his post for and it seems that he is being watched very closely by officials and fans alike at every move he makes to help prove to the fans who caused uproar after Hughes was sacked over only 16 months.
First in line for the betting odds of what big name Mancini will get rid of first is Robinho who is 11/4 favourite, followed by Craig Bellamy at 3/1 second favourite, Roque Santa Cruz at 4/1 and Goalkeeper Shay Given with the longest odds of 16/1.
A spokesman from Sky Bet explained, “The exit doors could soon be open at Eastlands. The question is, which one of the underperforming stars will be the first to depart? Robinho must be a worthy favourite; it’s just a case of would anyone be daft enough to sign him?”
