Betting odds for Chelsea vs. Bolton Warriors
28th October, 2009
Tonight at Stamford Bridge sees Chelsea take on Bolton Warriors and after an outburst of success for Chelsea in their last couple of games, tonight’s game should prove quite exciting. After losing to Aston Villa at the start of October, Chelsea has gone on to make up for their defeat by thrashing Madrid 4-0 and a record 5-0 against Blackburn.
Although Blackburn maybe a little anxious to be crushed by Chelsea, they have not had a bad last couple of games, including a 3-2 win against Everton. It looks as though Bolton Wanderers could in fact be in with a chance of leading tonight’s game having proven to their fans that they can play exciting and professional football.
It seems that for Carlo Ancelotti, there will be several changes to his line up but he will still present Bolton with a strong 11 for Chelsea, however acknowledging the importance of resting those key players to ensure that they are fit to play for their Country. Players including Frank Lampard, Jeffrey Bruma, Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka will all be taking a seat on the bench, while Ashley Cole, John Mikel Obi and Jose Bosingwa will be chosen to play.
Ancelotti explained his decisions to keep England players such as Lampard out of the game saying, “He knows very well it is important for him to give recovery sometimes to his body. He is not a young player”, he then went on to tell the official Chelsea website that, “At the end of May, John Terry and Frank Lampard will be in a very good condition and they will do a fantastic World Cup.”
For Bolton, it seems that it is confidence from their recent success of loosing just one of their last seven games that will help them to enhance their game tonight. Ivan Klasnic for the Wanderers is not sure whether or not he will be playing tonight, but hopes that his winning goal in his game on Saturday will help him to picked to play.
Klansnic appears shocked that fans are suggesting that tonight’s game will prove a challenge saying, “Why is it a tough game? Against the big teams it is not difficult because everyone should be showing their best football. In addition everyone expects us to lose, so it is important that everyone is more motivated”.
