Betfair signs a six figure deal with Talksport radio show

Since deciding to return to sponsoring football, Betfair have taken the football industry by storm! Last month they replaced Betfred as Manchester United’s lead sponsor and have now just signed a six figure deal with UK radio station TalkSport allowing them to gain exclusive access to cover the Premier League.
The club had its last sponsorship deal back in 2003 when it signed a 1 year deal with Fulham FC, but after a year that seemed to lack in success for the bookies and they moved their attention to Cricket and Horse Racing which seemed to work better for them and they are currently the official betting partner of the England and Wales cricket board. However, It appears that after some time out they want to return to football sponsorship with a bang, and it seems to be working very well!
By becoming the official betting partner of the UK radio station, they also gain partnership with Match Day live, Call Collymore football phone-in as well as the Jeremy Kyle show and Football First on Sundays. It seems that it is a done deal for Betfair who are becoming more desirable and are gradually dominating football sponsorship.
It looks like we may be exposed to some excessive advertising campaigns, or even more official partnerships developing in the near future if these recent investments prove to be a success!
