25th March, 2010
After Lewis Hamilton commenting of the outstanding pace of the Red Bull team in Bahrain, Sky bet punters are keen to back both Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber in the second round of the 2010 World Championships to be held in Australia.
Initially, Sky bet put Vettel in as second favourite to win in Australia after Fernando Alonso however they have now been made joint favourites after an influx of money being placed making them both 9/4. Lewis Hamilton is priced at 7/1 with Felipe Massa backed at 5/1 and Webber at 7/1.
In the fastest qualifier market the red bull has shown how fast it can go with Vettel looking sure to get more performance out of his machine this week. He is the 7/4 favourite in this market whilst Alonso is 5/2 and Massa and Webber are backed at 11/2.
There is also a market for whether the safety car will make an appearance as it has in seven of the last ten years in Australia. The safety car is priced at 4/9 to make an appearance.
Michael Schumacher is sure to want to improve on his pretty ordinary return by his own standards and is priced at 16/1 for the win and is the same price for pole position with odds of 4/1 that he’ll get back onto the Podium.
