Arsenal vs. Chelsea betting odds

27th November, 2009

Premier League leaders Chelsea travel across London on Sunday to tackle third place Arsenal in the match of the weekend at the Emirates Stadium.

Both teams will be desperate for the victory as Chelsea will be looking to enhance their lead over Manchester United at the top while the Gunners will be looking to stay in the title race.

Encounters between the two rivals rarely disappoint and another great game is expected as both teams are in good form. The Gunners have scored 36 Premier League goals which is the highest so far this season and Chelsea are in second place with 33. Also the Blues currently have the best defensive record in the league.

England midfielder Frank Lampard could return from the thigh muscle injury he sustained while on England duty against Brazil a couple of weeks ago.

The Blues Italian boss Carlo Ancelotti told BBC Sport "He has trained for the last two days and will train again on Thursday. We hope he will be fit".

Meanwhile Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger also has injury concerns as full back Kieran Gibbs has a foot injury and central defender William Gallas currently has an Eye problem. The French international and former Chelsea player clashed heads with team mate Andrey Arshavin during Tuesday’s 2-0 Champions League victory over Standard Liege.

Wenger told Sky Sports “Apart from Gibbs no-one is out or in from Tuesday," noted the Frenchman, "Everybody else should be normally available”.

To win the match Arsenal is 7/4 with Coral while Chelsea is 7/4 with Bet 365. The draw is 12/5 with Boylesports.
