Arsenal set to win the Premiership this season

29th December, 2009

Sunday saw the Gunners steal an impressive 3-0 win against Aston Villa and with the end in sight, they have had their odds cut from 9/2 to 7/2 for divisional honours. Arsenal are currently priced at 1/12 to finish in the top four with Sky Bet and backed at 5/4 to lift a major trophy this season.

Spokeswoman Helen Jacob from Sky Bet explained, “Wenger has no regrets about risking Fabregas to get Arsenal back into the title race and the Premier League title betting is wide open.”

Arsenal striker Cesc Fabregas managed to score twice, bringing his total goals to 9, as well as giving Arsenal the chance to chase Chelsea putting them just 4 points behind. Sky Bet are backing him at 4/7 to be Chelsea’s top goal scorer this season.

Other odds that Sky Bet are offering include 2/1 that Aston Villa finish fourth in the table this season, with odds of 7/4 that the ‘big 4’ traditional teams finish in the top four positions.
