Andy Murray French Open Odds
15th April, 2010
World number four, Andy Murray, was embarrassingly beaten yesterday when he was knocked out of the Monte Carlo Masters.
He was easily beaten 6-2 6-1 By German Philipp Kohlschreiber after a poor performance from the Scot who very much struggled with his first serve and didn’t settle well into the game.
Comparatively, it was a very good performance by the world number 33 who had a number of very impressive forehand winners during the match.
The performance from Murray didn’t go down too well with the Monte Carlo crowd, with fans booing on more than one occasion during the match.
The poor performance has led to several bookies easing their odds on Murray to win the French Open this spring. Boylesports and Stan James have moved the 22 year old to 20/1 to win at Roland Garros.
In the quarter finals, Kohlschreiber will face Philip Petzschner and is backed at ¼ to win the match with Stan James.
