All the latest odds and news after this weekend’s X-Factor

2nd November, 2009

This week was yet another fantastic week for viewers and the tension on this weekend’s X-Factor was greater than we have seen before this series. But more importantly, John and Edward Grimes are safe for yet another week and in return we see more and more talent eliminated!!

Danyl Johnson has been the centre of a lot of the public’s talk in the run up to this weekend’s show and it seems that after he let all the negative press get to him, his sulky attitude has damaged people’s opinions of him. It is important that Danyl aims to win over the public by impressing them with his talent as opposed to trying to gain the sympathy vote, because it won’t work.

There were some outstanding performances this week as well as some average to poor, with the twin brothers struggling with a Queen performance and Lloyd Daniels still fighting with his vocals with yet another rocky performance this week that he puts down to his throat once again. It appears that this year’s X-Factor is very different to those of the past, with the judges unable to make decisions for themselves as well as the public voting off all the talent, there is not much competition between the remaining acts anymore.

It still stands that Simon Cowell has got an advantage as he is mentoring one of the strongest categories and regardless of what the press say, Danyl Johnson is by far one of the best performers so it would be a shame to not see him at least reach the final.

This week as revealed a more exciting and talented Olly Murs, making his position as favourite even stronger, and at this stage could definitely be worth a bet! The Grimes Twins are a very debatable and risky bet as they seem to be going strong so far with very little problems, but bookies are not sure that this will last to the final week and are indecisive of whether or not they are, in reality, going to be the winners of X-Factor 2009.

This week bookies are still backing Olly Murs as favourite with his odds rapidly shortening and he is now best priced with Ladbrokes at 5/2. Lucie Jones is priced at 13/2 with Betfred and despite his teenager behaviour this weekend, Danyl Johnson is still definitely worth a bet with Blue Square priced at 6/1 to win. To bet on the elimination market, Boylesport make Lloyd Daniels favourite to go this week and are offering the best price of 15/8 for him, followed by the Grime brothers at 3/1 and then Jamie Archer at 5/1 to be voted off on Sunday.

For more odds or to place a bet then why not see what other odds Blue Square or Ladbrokes have available.
