Arsenal travel to the Netherlands this evening to take on Dutch champions AZ Alkmaar, in the UEFA Champions’ league group stages.

Arsene Wenger’s team head into the match in fine goal scoring form, as they have scored 11 times in their last three matches in all competitions. The Gunners currently sit top of group H after winning away at Standard Liege 3-2, then defeating Greek team Olympiakos 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium last time out.

The French boss believes his team is starting to peak and has high hopes for his young team. Wenger told BBC Sport "I believe this team has a big future. We have improved the belief and results. However, we know we have not won anything yet, it is all in front of us and that is what we want to show this season."

However, Arsenal does go into the match with lots of injury problems. The North London giants will be without Czech star Tomas Rosicky with a knee problem, while England international Theo Walcott will be absent after damaging medial knee ligaments. The 20- year old could be out for up to four weeks.

Strikers Eduardo and Nicklas Bendtner are both sidelined with groin injuries. Midfielder Denilson has a back injury and defender Johan Djourou has a knee injury Samir Nasri continues his rehabilitation with the reserve team after breaking his leg.

AZ Alkmaar currently managed by Dutch hero Ronald Koeman and has an impressive home European record; they have lost just once in their last 34 ties. So far in this campaign they lay bottom of the group, after drawing and losing their opening two games in the group.

AZ Alkmaar is 13/2 with bet 365 while Arsenal is 8/15 with betfred. The draw is 10/3 with canbet.
